 McGill Pain Scale
McGill Pain Scale
A pain diagram showing the level of pain in CRPS ...

The McGill Pain Scale is a well established tool for assessing the amount and type of pain patients feel.

This scale puts our pain in perspective. It is frustrating to explain what you are feeling, which for the most part is unheard of. This chart, as a visual aid, can help others appreciate the pain this condition causes. Most family members or friends don't know what it is like to have a digit amputated, but they can imagine that type of pain easier than they can imagine RSD pain.
